WINS
Winsstraße 16, Berlin-Pankow, Germany
On a quiet side street in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg, a compact new building is being constructed in the second courtyard of a typical Berlin ensemble of period buildings. The new development closes an inner-city gap between two transverse buildings and integrates sensitively into the surrounding structure. The seven floors will house 13 individual apartments, all of which will have at least two-sided natural light and offer generous outdoor spaces. A communal courtyard with play and recreation areas strengthens neighborly cohesion. The clear façade structure and sculptural depth give the building a contemporary, distinctive expression.
